摘要

Abstract

In this paper, co-seismic water level step variations of 131 wells at the time of Wenchuan earthquake are analyzed. The results show that the stress adjustment of Wenchuan earthquake are basically consistent with the background stress field of Chinese continental plates. Just for the north and southwest China, there are few strengthen, and few weaken for the northwest and southeast. It shows that as the accumulated stress is releaded with Wenchuan 8 earthquake, certain adjustments of the mainland stress field occurred.
