The prognostic significance of Clusterin expression in ovarian cancer
摘要
Abstract
Objective To evaluate the prognostic value of clusterin expression in ovraian cancer . Methods The clusterin immunohistochemistry (IHC) , clinical data and pathological records of 181 patients, who were diagnosed with ovarian cancer between 1993 and 2004, were analyzed. Results The over - expression of clusterin protein in ovarian cancer tissues was significantly correlated with histological type , histological grade and FIGO stage ; though with no significant correlation with age or PTNM status. The survivals in clusterin low - expression and over - expression patients were (89. 7 ±0. 3) and (70. 3 ±0. 8) months, respectively (P = 0. 056). Conclusion The clusterin in ovarian cancer patients correlates with adverse prognostic factors and plays an important role in progression of disease , providing a novel prognostic predictor.关键词
