Influence of nursing intervention on the obedience of rabies patients in completeing the entire process of rabies vaccination

Abstract
Objective To investigate the influence of systematized nursing intervention on increasing the obedience of rabies patients throughout the comprehensive vaccination.Methods 1392 cases of rabies patients who were infected by dogs or other animals treated in dog injury outpatient at our center from July 2010 to June 2011,were randomly divided into an experimental group and a control group,each with 696 cases.The intervention nursing measures were implemented to the experimental group,which included vaccination record book,intensive psychological counseling and health education,enquiry hotline service and random telephone interviews etc.The conventional rabies vaccination notification advice and verbal explanation on health education were applied to the control group without random telephone interviews.Results The obedience of the experimental group during the rabies vaccination was remarkably enhanced compared to that of the control group (P＜0.01).Conclusion The implement of systematized hohstic nursing intervention on the patients is of positive significance to strengthen the obedience of patients to complete the entire process of rabies vaccination.关键词
