Abstract

The macromonomer polyethylene glycol monomethyl ether methyl acrylate of the polycarboxylice acid superplasticizer (MPEGAA) was prepared by direct esterification of acrylic acid (AA) and methoxy polyethylene glycol (MPEG).Through orthogonal test to determine the dosages of each monomer.The results show that the best esterification condition of the macromonomer includes:n (AA):n (MPEG) =3.5:1,the dosages of inhibitor (hydroquinone,calculated by the mass faction in AA) and catalyst (paratoluenesulfonic acid,calculated by mass fraction in MPEG + AA) are 1.2% and 5.5% respectively,the esterification temperature is 95 ℃,and the esterification time is 6 h.The polycarboxylice acid superplasticizer of MPEGAA-AA-AMPS made from the mocromonomer MPEGAA which is produced in the best esterification condition bears fairly good dispersibility and dispersion retention.The initial fluidity of the cement paste with 0.15% (in mass) polycarboxylice superplasticizer is 300 mm,315 mm after 1 h,290 mm after 2 h.
