摘要

Abstract

Ice coating on transmission lines harms the safe and stable operation of power grids.This paper introduces the existing prediction models of icing process on transmission lines,including the mathematical models based on the mechanism of thermodynamics,the mechanism of fluid mechanics,and the measured data simulation,analyzes and compares their advantages and disadvantages.And this paper discusses the on-line monitoring technologies of iced conductors,such as the video surveillance technology,the ice thickness monitoring technology via calculation of mechanical load,the sag of line monitoring technology via calculation of inclination variation.In addition,some insufficiencies in the existing ice coating monitoring technologies are argued,and some improvements are suggested.
