摘要
Abstract
The effects of 14 kinds of amino acids on the growth of Escherichia coli BL21 were investigated.The results showed that the effects of amino acid on the growth of Escherichia coli BL21 in media containing amino acids as the sole source of nitrogen could be divided into three categories.(1) the glutamine,asparagine,serine could be completely utilized.(2) glutamate,glycine,alanine,arginine and leucine could be partly utilized but the growth of E.coli was limited.(3) phenylalanine,histidine,methionine,isoleucine,lysine and threonine could not be utilized.When inorganic nitrogen source existed,the effect of single amino acid on growth of E.coli could be divided into two categories.(1) glutamine,asparagine,serine glutamate,glycine,alanine could be completely utilized.(2) arginine,leucine and other amino acids could promote the growth of E.coli to some degree.关键词
