Abstract
From the view of ecological demand and supply,the paper uses ecological footprint model for the dynamic measurement and analysis in time series of the per capita ecological footprint and per capita ecological carrying capacity of urban residents in Jiangsu Province.Then,the sustainable development status of urban residents' consumption in Jiangsu Province is discussed.Research result shows that with the accelerating development of urbanization,industrialization and the improvement of living standards in the past twelve years,the per capita ecological footprint of urban residents in Jiangsu Province continuingly grows,while the per capita ecological carrying capacity decreases,and the ecological deficit expands.It shows that urban residents' consumption demand far exceeds the supply capacity of the natural ecosystem,namely the ecological environment is in insecure state,and the urban residents in Jiangsu Province are faced with a huge challenge of sustainable consumption.关键词
