Operating process parameters and performance of aerobic granular sludge dynamic membrane bioreactor

Abstract
The treatment performances of an aerobic granular sludge membrane bioreactor,which combined aerobic granular sludge process with submerged nylon-mesh dynamic membrane bioreactor (DMBR),were investigated,and the influences of operating factors such as filtrate flow rate and aeration rate on membrane fouling were studied.In addition,an analysis of the extracellular polymeric substances (EPS) of sludge in the AGDMBR and the activated sludge control reactor was performed to investigate the fouling mechanism in different systems.The results showed that COD and NH4+-N average removal efficiencies of AGDMBR remained at 91% and 95%,respectively the effluent turbidity was 6 NTU,which were better than DMBR.Moreover,the membrane fouling rate increased significantly with the filtration flow rate,and the flux of the membrane remained longest when the aeration rate was 125 ~ 150 L/h for the AGDMBR.Lower membrane fouling was achieved in AGDMBR than in DMBR.关键词
