摘要

Abstract

Aimed at identifying the characteristics of debris clouds produced by non spherical projectiles hypervelocity impact on pressure vessels at normal angles,this paper introduces the use of SPH (smoothed particle hydrodynamics) methods in AUTODYN and an investigation into characteristics of debris cloud produced by conical projectiles and cylindrical projectiles with different ratio between length and radius hypervelocity impact on pressure vessels with the same mass and velocity by numerical simulation.Effects of the ratio between length and radius of the projectiles affecting on the form of debris cloud,tip particle velocity of debris cloud and radial extension of debris cloud are analyzed.The result shows that the shape of the projectiles and the ratio between length and radius have a greater effect on the dynamic characteristic of debris cloud.Moreover,the increasing ratio between length and radius with cylindrical projectiles results in a decreased diameter of debris cloud,and the damage of debris cloud rises up due to increasing ratio between length and radius both with conical projectiles and cylindrical projectiles.
