Study on fuzzy-logic control of engine with magneto-rheological mounts

Abstract
The vibration isolation of engine in a wide frequency region is very important to improve the ride comfort of a vehicle.A flow-mode magneto-rheological mount is proposed and applied to the vibration control of an engine.The simplified mechanics model of the magneto-rheological mount is established and its controllable damping force is derived.Furthermore,the dynamic model of an engine with magneto-rheological mounts is established and the state space control model is thus expressed.A fuzzylogic controller is then designed to attenuate the vibration of the engine.The simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the fuzzy-logic controller through control responses in time and frequency domains.The amplitudes are attenuated significantly and force transmission rate is reduced to less than 20%.Therefore,a vibration isolation of engine in wide frequency region is realized by using the proposed magneto-rheological mount and fuzzy-logic controller.关键词
