Abstract
Objective To explore the influence of life quality after treated with botulinum toxin type A (BTXA) local injection in patients with hemifacial spasm (HFS).Methods One hundred and eight HFS patients were treated with BTXA local injection.The spasm degree and curative effect were evaluation by Cohen classification standard before and 3 and 6 months after treatment; meanwhile the quality of life scale (QOL-BREF),self-rating depressive scale (SDS) and self-rating anxious scale (SAS) were scored.Results At 3 and 6 months after treatment,the degree of Cohen classification were decreased significantly than before treatment; the marked efficient rate and total effective rate were 90.1％,100％ at 3 months after treatment,and 83.3％,96.3％ at 6 months after treatment.Compared with before treatment,each score of QOL-BREF except the enviroment score was significantly increased,and the scores of SDS,SAS were significantly decreased (all P ＜ 0.05).The rates of the patients with depressive and anxious were decreased significantly (all P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion BTXA treated on HFS is effective,and can obviously improve health-related quality of life.关键词
