Fire Resistance and Decay Resistance of Boron-Based Wood Preservative
摘要
Abstract
In order to develop wood products with acceptable fire resistance and decay resistance,Southern Pine samples were treated with a boron-containing wood preservative (DBM) which was a mixture of disodium octoborate tetrahydrate,boric acid,magnesium sulfate and dipropylene glycol methyl ether.Results indicated that the boron-based preservative not only improved the fire resistance,decay resistance,and reduced its leachibility,but also decreased the volume shrinkage and water absorption of treated samples.关键词
