摘要

Abstract

This paper surveys the total structure,hardware components of a node and the network protocol architecture for wireless multimedia sensor networks (WMSN).The paper also presents its most important key technologies that affect its applications-low time-delay and low power consumption network design.The paper further presents their probable breakthrough branches in future,low time-delay and realtime MAC,low time-delay and low power consumption routing,multimedia information security,development of multi-core and many-core oriented multimedia terminal,multimode software component and high compression ratio based coding for multimedia traffic stream.
