Improved Wigner-Ville Distribution for Extracting the Visual Evoked Potential P300
摘要
Abstract
It is significant to extract the visual evoked potential P300 accurately and quickly during the research of brain-computer interface.Considering the non-stationary and nonlinearity of electroencephalogram (EEG) signal,this paper proposes a method of improved Wigner-Ville Distribution (WVD) to extract the visual evoked potential P300.Firstly,visual evoked EEG data is acquired by Oddball experimental paradigm.Then,in order to eliminate the noise and interference to obtain the pure EEG data,the EEG data is preprocessed with the methods of common average references,band-pass filtering and data partitioning.Finally,the method combined coherence average and improved Wigner-Ville distribution is used to extract the P300 potential from visual evoked EEG.The simulation result shows that this method can effectively extract the P300 potential from visual evoked EEG,suppress the interface of cross term and avoid the subject's visual fatigue caused by long time visual evoke,which could lay the Foundation for establishing online BCI system.关键词
