Abstract
Dimethyl succinate was synthesized from succinic acid and methanol over a proprietary heat-resistant cation exchange resin catalyst in a combined process containing continuous catalystfree pre-esterification and continuous catalytic distillation.The influences of succinic acid LHSV,mole ratio of methanol to succinic acid and reaction temperature on the conversion of succinic acid and the selectivity to the product dimethyl succinate were investigated.The experimental results show that the stability of the heat-resistant resin catalyst is good.Under the conditions of 110 ℃,mole ratio of methanol to succinic acid 9 and LHSV of succinic acid 0.7 h-1,the conversion of succinic acid and the selectivity to dimethyl succinate reached 99.96% and 99.93% after running 2000 h respectively.The structure of the product dimethyl succinate was verified by means of FTIR.关键词
