同源异型盒基因EN2在前列腺癌细胞中的表达及意义
Expression and significance of homeobox gene EN2 in prostate cancer cells
摘要
Abstract
Objective To investigate the expression and significance of homeobox gene EN2 in human prostate cancer cell. Methods Prostate cancer cell lines PC3, DU145, LNCaP and the nonmalignant human prostate endothelial cell RWPE-1 were cultured in vitro. Expression of EN2 mRNA and protein in these cells were investigated by RT-QPCR and Western blot respectively. Results RT-QPCR analysis showed that EN2 mRNA expression was 4.6-fold higher in DU145, 4.9-fold higher in PC-3 and 35-fold higher in LANCaP prostate cancer cells compared to RWPE-1 cells. EN2 protein was high-expressed in PC3, DU145, and LNCaP cells but not in RWPE-1 cell. Conclusion Homeobox gene EN2 is high-expressed in various prostate cancer cells, but not in nonmalignant prostate endothelial cell. Further investigation may explain its mechanistic contribution to the tumorigenic process.关键词
