Abstract
Objective To evaluate the effect of purified olfactory ensheathing cells in repairation of acute spinal cord injury and discuss its feasibility for therapy.Methods The olfactory ensheathing cells were cultured and purified with the olfactory bulb of Wistar neonate rats.Manufacturing transection injury model in the rat spinal cord and transplanting the puried cells with different concentration,and then changes of the spinal cord,neurologic evaluation (BBB scores) and histochemistry changes were observed.Results Immunoadsorption is a reliable way to purify olfactory ensheathing cells.When the concentration was 3 × 105 mol/L,the effect of transplantion is the best.After a continuous postoperative observation,it was proved that there was an obvious improvement in terms of motor function,and the number of nerve fiber of the transplant area has increased.Conclusion Olfactory ensheathing cells transplantation can promote the nerve regeneration and the recovery of motor function in spinal cord injuries.关键词
