Genetic polymorphism of P.falciparum in the application of population classification and origin-tracing research
摘要
Abstract
Among all the five species of Plasmodium which can infect human , P. falciparum is the most risk and responsible for most of the mortality . There are phenotypic differences among different geographic strains of P. falciparum, in which genetic diversity places an important role in the development of vaccine for P. falciparum, development of new antima-larial drugs , diagnosis of genetic traceability , multiplicity of infection (MOI) (or polyclonal infection), and the diagnosis and treatment for the imported malaria . In this paper, we briefly review the application of genetic diversity in the research of P. falciparum population classification and origin-tracing .关键词
