摘要

Abstract

Through adding rare earth elements Er into hypereutectic Al-Si alloy to spheroidize and granulate primary silicon and eutectic silicon,the effect of different Er content on microstructure and mechanical properties of hypereutectic Al-20%Si alloy was studied.The results show that the addition of rare earth element Er makes primary Si with the petal-like or large blocky passivation spheroidize,and the flakiness eutectic Si refine into coral-like and wormlike.When the content of Er is 1%,the microstructure of the alloy is smallest,the primary silicon is smallest in size and tensile strength and percentage elongation is highest.
