Abstract
Objective To investigate the application effect of lidocaine hydrochloride plasmagel in catheterization for patients with prostate hyperplasia.Methods A total of 80 patients with prostate hyperplasia were randomly divided into the test group and the control group,both received catheterization.The test group used lidocaine hydrochloride plasmagel,whereas the control group used liquid paraffin as lubricator.The level of urinary irritation,the injure of urethral mucosa and the one time success rate of urethral catheterization were compared between the two groups.Results The degree of urinary irritation was associated with urethral catheterization.It was significantly lower in the pain and the injury of urethral mucosa in the test group (P ＜ 0.01).And it was significantly higher in the one time success rate in the test group (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion Application of lidocaine hydrochloride plasmagel as lubricator in catheterization for patients with prostate hyperplasia can reduce the pain and the injury of urethral mucosa,increase the one time success rate and improve the nursing efficiency.关键词
