Calculation method of ice pressure of extruded ice plate in reservoirs based on the fracture mechanics

Abstract
In order to provide a basis for anti-freezing design of reservoir revetments in cold regions,ice limit pressure of extruded ice plates was studied using the fracture mechanics theories with the consideration of failure characteristics and inner defects of the ice plates.Then,a calculation method of the ice pressure was developed.The calculated results show that the ice plate extrusion failure demonstrates brittle characteristics,and ice pressures increase with the increase of the ice plate thickness.With the same ice thickness,calculated values of the ice pressure are in good agreement with its standard values and measured values.The calculation method of the ice pressure can reflect the physical nature of ice pressure forming process,and is accord with the facts.关键词
