无线异构网络TCP性能研究与改进
RESEARCH ON TCP PERFORMANCE IN WIRELESS HETEROGENEOUS NETWORKS AND ITS IMPROVEMENT

Abstract
TCP Vegas has a better performance in throughput and stability than TCP Reno in homogeneous networks,but performs much worse in heterogeneous networks where Vegas and Reno coexists.This is because TCP Reno has aggressive control mechanism,which makes Vegas fail in obtaining a fair share of the bandwidth.We first validate this characteristic of unfairness,and further propose an improved Vegas algorithm with dynamic threshold alternation.Simulation results show that the improved control algorithm achieves a higher throughput and better stability in heterogeneous networks than the conventional TCP Vegas.关键词
