ON TECHNIQUES OF FGOALS PERFORMANCE OPTIMISATION

Abstract
The model of climatic system FGOALS developed by the State Key Laboratory of Atmospheric Sciences and Geophysical Fluid Dynamics (LASG/IAP) is a flexible circumfluent model of fully coupled global ocean-atmosphere-land surface-sea ice and non-flux-revisal.Based on the results of computing performance analysis profile of FGOALS,this paper discusses some key optimisation techniques which contain the improvement of data access locality,increase of the efficiency of vector quantities,elimination of excrescent computing and optimisation of parallel communication and so on.Experimental results indicate that the optimised model has the speedup of 1.2 ~ 1.8 in part of its core function performance and 3 ~ 3.3 in part of its communication function performance on Sunway high performance computing platform.关键词
