Abstract
The kinetics for the synthesis of isooctyl acetate from acetic acid and iso-octanol over Amberlyst 15 cation exchange resin catalyst with strong acidity was studied in a batch stirred tank reactor.The effects of stirring speed,particle size of the catalyst,reaction temperature,catalyst dosage and molar ratio of acetic acid to iso-octanol on the esterification rate were investigated.The intrinsic kinetics of the esterification reaction was studied under the conditions that the influences of the external and internal diffuses were neglected.The experimental data were correlated by means of a pseudo-homogeneous kinetic model in the temperature range of 343.15-363.15 K.The pre-exponential factors of the forward and reverse reaction rate constants are 5 061,12.78 L/(mol · g · min),and the activation energies of the forward and reverse reactions are 54.43 and 37.68 kJ/mol,respectively.关键词
