摘要

Abstract

"Chuanzhu 11 ",a hybrid ramie,was grown in pots subjected to 4 different treatments (well-watered,mild,moderate and severe drought stress) for 10,15 and 20 days in a greenhouse.Then the contents of proline and malonialdehyde(MDA),superoxide dismustase (SOD) activity,peroxide dismustase (POD) activity and catalase (CAT) activity were assessed.The results showed that drought stress led to a prominent increase in the contents of proline and MDA,the activities of SOD and POD.The severer and longer the drought stress was,the more these components increased.The CAT activity was enhanced under progressive drought stress while it initially increased,subsequently changed in an opposite direction under long term drought stress.Compared with the well-watered plants,the contents of proline and M DA increased by 23.61%-84.10% and 9.49%-34.93%,while the activities of SOD,POD and CAT increased by 7.51%-34.53%,10.61%-61.85% and 8.31%-41.60%,respectively.In summary,drought stress led to the physiological and biochemical responses in hybrid ramie,subsequently reduced fiber yield.
