Abstract
Objective To explore the ways to strengthen the PDCA circulation management to improve the safety of the orthopedic specialist care.Methods We selected 120 cases of hospitalized elderly patients from June 2011 to December 2012 of the orthopedics department in our hospital,which were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group,60 cases in each group,the observation group applied PDCA circulation management type:plan-do-check-action,in order to analyze the behaviors easily lead to security risks in the orthopedics nursing work and the characteristics of potential safety hazard in the orthopedic patients,as well as to formulate the nursing process and related management system of single disease.The control group adopted traditional management mode:focusing on individual events,test of quality control inspection on process results,errors after the check,focusing on the punishment of the responsible person,then we compared the satisfaction and nursing safety effect in patients of two groups.Results The situation comparison between the two groups in nursing defects,complaints,patient satisfaction,and security risk during the orthopedic specialist care,showed statistical significant differences (P < 0.05).Conclusion Implementing PDCA circulation management in the orthopedic patients,can not only significantly improve the effectiveness of the safety management of orthopedic patients,ensure the safety of hospitalization,but also can decrease the risk of nursing defects,complaints and medical disputes,reduce the incidence of various complications,and improve patients' satisfaction.关键词
