New Urbanization and Development in Metropolitan Areas in China
摘要
Abstract
The paper starts from primary goals and tasks and discusses some key issues of new urbanization in China such as the roles of the real estate sector,carrying capacity of metropolitan areas as well as key institutional obstacles.The paper argues that to achieve the gals of new urbanization,short-term policy prioritiesshould focus on the development of big and mega-citiesrather than small and medium-sized ones and small towns.,In addition,social investment should take the precedence overreal estate investment.A number of suggestions are also proposed in the paper to guide the new urbanization in China.关键词
