Abstract
The oxidation of dimethyl phthalate by sodium persulfate activated with ultraviolet radiation and zero valent iron(ZVI) was investigated.As a result,the degradation efficiency of DMP increased slowly with low Na2S2O8 concentration under ultraviolet system.The removal rate of DMP was 57% when the ratio of sodium persulfate to dimethyl phthalate was 0.7 after 3 h.The activation efficiency of Na2 S2O8 was improved and reaction time was shorten after added catalyst ZVI.When the optimum loading of ZVI was around 0.15 g/L,the degradation efficiency of DMP and COD were 65% and 51% when the ratio of sodium persulfate to dimethyl phthalate was 0.5 for 2.5 h.ZVI played an important role in activated Na2S2O8 at ambient temperature.The removal rates of DMP and COD was 50% and 38% after 3.5 h when ZVI exist alone.The produce rate of Na2S2O8 and generation of.SO4 were improved when adding ZVI into ultraviolet system,and further improved the treatment effect of wastewater.关键词
