基于双频PFM控制模式的升压式DC-DC变换器
Boost DC-DC converter based on bi-frequency PFM control mode

Abstract
In order to improve the system's whole efficiency in a wide load range,a boost DC-DC converter based on the bi-frequency PFM (pulse frequency modulation) control mode is designed.First,two fixed frequencies are chosen.Then,by detecting load changes,the converter works at a single frequency when the system is under light load or heavy load; however,at medium load,the converter chooses different combinations of these two frequencies to stabilize the output voltage,improving full-load efficiency obviously.Subsequently,a bifrequency-oscillator is designed.The chip is designed based on 0.5 μm CMOS process.The simulation and layout design is completed in Cadence tools.The test results of the chip show that the full load conversion efficiency is above 75 %,and the maximum output current is up to 300 mA.Therefore,the actual performance of the chip meets the design requirements.The bi-frequency PFM control mode can effectively improve the system's full-load efficiency,and the converter may have well EMI (electro magnetic interference)characteristics.关键词
