Preparation of Fly Ash and Slag Based Geopolymer Toughened by Asphalt and Polypropylene Fiber

Abstract
The double doped asphalt and polypropylene fiber were used to reinforce toughness of alkali activation of fly ash-slag based geopolymer.When the contents of asphalt and polypropylene fiber were 1wt% and 0.6wt%,respectively,the geopolymer showed the highest flexural strength of 9.7 MPa in curing time of 28 d.XRD results indicated that double doped asphalt and polypropylene fiber had no effect onthe phase composition of the geopolymer.SEM combining with fracture toughness calculation results indicated that the fibers and geopolymer matrix linked closely each other.It was revealed that the fracture toughness of specimen can be improved due to longer pullout length of polypropylene fiber.关键词
