摘要

Abstract

A three-dimensional model for the settling of spheroid sediment particles is developed by applying the Lattice Boltzmann Model (LBM) for thé simulation of the settling of an oblate spheroid particle,and using the Large Eddy Simulation (LES) for the description of the wake turbulence of a large particle.Simulations of a single oblate spheroid particle settling with different Re (1 ~7 580) are carried out through the presented model,and the simulated results are compared with the previous experimental data.The simulated settling trajectory,velocity and drag coefficient agree well with the measured data.
