摘要

Abstract

MgAl2O4 powder was synthesized via non-hydrolytic and hydrolytic sol-gel method,respectively.The phase transformation,the particle morphology and sintering properties of MgAl2O4 powders were studied by DTA-TG,XRD and FE-SEM analysis.The results showed that there existed the MgAl2O4 spinel phase with a little of periclase phase,when the hydrolytic xerogels were calcined at 900 ℃ for 0.5 h.There only was the single-phase MgAl2O4 spinel,after the non-hydrolytic xerogels were calcined at 900 ℃ for 0.5 h.The average powder size of MgAl2O4 spinel powders synthesized by hydrolytic and non-hydrolytic sol-gel method was 90 nm and 50 nm,respectively.When the synthesized MgAl2O4 spinel powders were sintered at 1600 ℃ for 3 h,most crystal grain were octahedra shape and their averge size was 1-2 μm and 0.5-1 μm,respectively.For the sintered sample prepared by hydrolytic sol-gel methrod,the MgAl2O4 spinel crystal growth was better and displayed more visible growth step.
