摘要

Abstract

Surface monomer grafting of silk fabric can improve application performance of silk fabric and brings rich and lasting functions.Methacrylate and acrylate hydrophobic monomers were respectively added in graft copolymerization of methacrylamide (MAA) and silk fiber.The influences on grafting percent of silk fiber and grafting efficiency of mixed monomer were investigated.It was found that hydrophobic monomers added improved grafting percent of silk fiber.Methacrylate improved grafting efficiency of the monomer,while acrylate reduced grafting efficiency of the monomer.The above phenomena were found to be related to both the activity and hydrophobicity of radicals generated by mixed monomer copolymerization.Either the decrease in the activity of radicals or the increase in the hydrophobicity was favored by the graft copolymerization.After MAA/hydrophobic monomer grafting,infrared spectroscopy of the silk fiber showed ester bond absorbance peaks.After grafting,changes in the moisture regain of the silk fiber were little.
