摘要

Abstract

Using ANSYS,the three-dimensional finite element model of a pair of rack and pinion of some jack-up platform was developed,thermal analysis was performed and the meshing temperature field was obtained.Based on this,damaged gear models with abrasion,pitting and crack were developed respectively and the meshing temperature field was compared with that of the intact one.The results show that the meshing temperature field of gear tooth can be given accurately using high precision infrared radiation thermocamera.The temperature inspection could be one of the novel methods for the nondestructive inspection of the rack and pinion of jack-up platforms.
