Expression of TGF-β, IL-6 and IL-17 in mice with viral myocarditis

Abstract
Objective To explore the dynamic changes and the significance of transforming growth factor-β(TGF-β),interleukin-6 (IL-6) and interleukin-17 (IL-17) in mice with viral myocarditis (VMC).Method The mice that had been established model of VMC were killed at different times (1st,2nd,4th and 6th week),the level of TGF-β,IL-6 and IL-17 mRNA in myocardial tissue were detected by RT-PCR,the expressions of protein in blood plasma were detected by EILSA.Results Compared with the controls,the expressions of TGF-β,IL-6 and IL-17 mRNA and protein in VMC increased from the 1st week,TGF-β and IL-6 reached the peak level at the 2nd and the 4th week,IL-17 reached the peak level at the 4th week.The expressions of TGF-β and IL-6 mRNA and protein increased from the 1st week,peaked at the 2nd week.All of the results in VMC were higher than those of controls at different time points (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion TGF-β,IL-6 and IL-17 mRNA and its protein were highly expressed in mice with VMC,which play a role in the pathogenesis of VMC.关键词
