Abstract
Objective To investigate the effect of high-frequency repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) in combined with stable dose neuroleptic treatment on the schizophrenia patients with negative symptoms.Methods Sixty-four schizophrenia patients were enrolled in this study.The patients in the active stimulated group were treated with 10 Hz high-frequency rTMS.Functional magnetic resonance imaging(fMRI) was performed before and after rTMS treatment.Results High-frequency rTMS contributed to a significant reduction of negative symptoms of patients in the active stimulated group compared with the sham control group.However,no changes in regional cerebral blood flow could be detected by fMRI in both two groups.Conclusions Beneficial effects of high-frequency rTMS on the schizophrenia patients with negative symptoms were demonstrated.关键词
