Abstract
To reduce the shrinkage defects of ingot casting,the solidification process of a factory' s 5 tons ingot casting was simulated by finite element software ProCAST.The effects of pouring temperature and heat transfer coefficient and taper of ingot body were discussed.The results show that shrinkage defects got worse as the pouring temperature is high; heat transfer coeffficient of ingot body has a large influence on the defects of the ingot,200 W/(m2·K) is a better heat transfer coefficient for the ingot cooling.The depth of first shrinkage and secondary pipe both increase at the beginning and then decrease with the increase of taper,the appropriate value is 0.09.关键词
