河北省海水养殖贝类与藻类碳汇能力评估
Assessing carbon sink capacity of marine bivalves and seaweeds in Hebei Province

Abstract
[Objective]Carbon sink capacity of marine bivalves and seaweeds in Hebei Province was evaluated to explore their role in ocean carbon cycle and provide references for improving marine carbon potential,reaching targets of emission reduction and realizing sustainable development.[Method]The present achievement was based on the comprehensive study of literatures and data in order to assess the carbon sink capacity of marine bivalves and seaweeds in Hebei Province.[Result]The total output of mariculture in Hebei Province was 3.29×105 t in 2010,of which filter-feeding bivalves took the lion's share (2.91×105 t).The results showed that about 2.75×104 t of carbon was removed from the sea by harvest of bivalves and seaweeds in Hebei Province in 2010,equivalent to 1.01×105 t of CO2,which cost about 60.38 million yuan for CO2 storage and fixation.There were 9259.35 t and 1.82×104 t of carbon stored in the soft-tissue and shell of bivalves,and 33.76 t in the body of seaweeds.A total of 2.74×104-6.91×104 t of carbon could be stored by biodeposition.[Conclusion]The harvest of bivalves and seaweeds has remarkable carbon sink capacity.Given the fact that the utilization rate of shallow sea and intertidal zone was less than 10%,the carbon sink fisheries based on bivalves and seaweeds mariculture should be promoted in Hebei Province.关键词
