摘要

Abstract

Granular activated carbon was modified with HNO3 and used to treat chromium-containing wastewater.The effects of adsorption time,solution pH,adsorbent dosage on the Cr(Ⅵ) adsorption capability of the modified activated carbon were studied.The experimental results show that:The specific surface area and the total quantity of functional groups of the modified activated carbon is increased significantly; The Cr(Ⅵ) removal rate is increased with the prolonging of shaking time; When the Cr(Ⅵ) mass concentration is 10 mg/L,the solution volume is 100mL,the solution pH is neutral,and the dosage of the granular activated carbon modified with 30%(volume fraction) HNO3 is 0.4 g,the maximum Cr(Ⅵ)removal rate is 98%.
