Abstract
Objective The aim of this study was to analyze the pathogenesis of suddenly apnea in patients following mandibular surgery with intraoral approach and to give treatment advise.Methods A retrospective study included 714 patients who were given mandibular surgery with intraoral approach between July,2007,and June,2012,at Zhu Jiang Hospital were conducted.All patients were under general nasotracheal anesthesia.Results Among all the patients,28 had the symptom of postoperative apnea.22 of them were received expectant treatment and another 6 were treated with operative treatment,the symptoms had vanished or improved.All patients were being discharged with a full recovery.Concluison In case of suddenly apnea after mandibular surgery,surgical technique should be carefully conducted.What's more,keeping the patients under continuous observation after mandibular surgery and being prepared with emergency treatment are also vitally important.关键词
