Faulty Phase Selection Criterion in AC/DC Hybrid Power System Based on the Comparison of Phase/Sequence Voltage Amplitude

Abstract
In order to tackle the deficiency that the conventional phase selection component may mal-operate when short-circuit fault occurs at AC outlet of inverter side in a AC/DC hybrid grid,.a novel faulty phase selection algorithm which is based on the comparison of phase/sequence voltage amplitude has been proposed in this paper.In this paper,on the basis of boundary conditions of contingency and the sequence network topology,the quantitative relationship of the faulty phase,non-fault phase voltage amplitudes and the positive sequence voltage amplitude have been analyzed.Hence the faulty phase can be rapidly identified via simple amplitude comparison.This algorithm is without auxiliary criterion and is free of the non-linear characteristic of the convertor stations.The simulated illustration of a certain grid in China validates the effectiveness of proposed algorithm.关键词
