摘要

Abstract

  Basing on the research of the source rock of south-eastern Sichuan area and 3D seismic exploration,by analyzing sample on the spot,we discuss the distribution and exploration potential of the Longmaxi formation’s shale gas source rocks of lower Silurian. the article analysis and evaluates seven geological factors of this formation:organic matter abundance,thermal maturity,the type of organic matter,content of brittle mineral, thickness of shale,burial depth,structural shape,and make sure that the widely distributed shale of Longmaxi formation possesses being gas source condtions of forming shale gas reservoir finally:high content and good type of organic matter,high levels of thermal evolution,high potential of hydrocarbon generating, meanwhile,thick shale formation,shallow buried,and high content of brittle mineral and suitable preservation condition,all these factors are beneficial to fracturing and mining of shale gas.
