Homogenizing annealing microstructure and mechanical properties of 5083 aluminum alloy ingot
摘要
Abstract
Aimed at the study of 5083 aluminum alloy homogenization organization and mechanical properties after annealing,this paper is an analysis of the evolution of microstructures and mechanical properties of 5083 aluminum alloy ingot after homogenizing annealing using optical microscopy (OM),scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and universal mechanical testing machine.The results indicate that increasing homogenizing annealing triggers the dissolution of most eutectic β phase in ingot,giving the remaining β phase a tendency to nodulizing.Room temperature mechanical properties show that homogenizing annealing is followed by a significant increase in tensile strength and decrease in ductility,an indication of brittle fracture.High temperature instantaneous tensile tests suggest that homogenizing annealing tends to decrease tensile strength,showing cleavage facture.关键词
