Effects of Different Parities and Mating Seasons on the Reproductive Performance of PIC Sows
摘要
Abstract
To investigate the effect of parities and mating seasons on the reproductive performance of PIC sows,the production records of 607 and 692 PIC sows except for the PIC sows with adopted piglets were collected from 2007 to 2009 in a breeding farm in Shaanxi province,respectively.The results showed that the parity and mating season all have significant effect on the reproductive performance of PIC sows(P ＜0.05).The reproductive performance of PIC sows were improved gradually from the first to the third parity,the peak of which was at the third parity,and then the reproduction performance decreased slowly after the sixth parity.Furthermore,the reproduction performances of PIC sows mated in the fall were the best,followed by winter,and the worst for PIC sows hybridized in summer.关键词
