Abstract
Objective To explore the influence of early nursing intervention on constipation of patients with thoracolumbar fracture.Methods 38 patients with thoracolumbar facture from February to July 2012 were selected and designed as experimental group,while 43 patients with thoracolumbar facture from February to July 2011 were selected and designed as control group.The experimental group was conducted with comprehensive nursing intervention measures such as constipation education,abdominal massage and prophylactic drug,while the control group was conducted with conventional nursing measures.Rate of defecation within 3 days after hospital admission was recorded and compared between two groups.Results Within 3 days after hospital admission,rate of defecation in the experimental group was 63.2 ％,which was significantly higher than 27.9 ％ in the control group (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion Early nursing intervention combined with necessary medication treatment can improve the rate of defecation within 3 days after hospital admission and alleviate discomfort caused by fracture.关键词
