Abstract
Objective To analyze causes of maternal death in order to reduce fatality rate and find the best way to solve the medical disputes aroused by maternal death.Methods Necropsy data of 8 cases of maternal death involving medical disputes in our department of pathology were respectively analyzed.Results The death causes included 4 cases of obstetric hemorrhage and 4 cases of amniotic fluid embolism by necropsy pathology.Four cases were identified by municipal medical assessment,3 cases did not belong to malpractice,and 1 case was grade A of first class which the hospital bore the secondary responsibility; 2 families chose voluntary withdrawal; 2 hospitals actively consulted with the families.Conclusion It is helpful to reduce maternal mortality and incidence rate of medical disputes by enhancing the pregnant women's consciousness of self health care,making them and their families aware of the perinatal risk factors,improving the professional level of medical staff and strengthening the management of the medical administrative departments.关键词
