Review of Daur nationality's origin in the new century
摘要
Abstract
Daur nationality, one of the 55 national minorities in China, are distributed in eastern Inner Mongolia, western Heilongjiang and Tacheng in Xingjian. A specialized study has been done on the ori-gin of this nationality by Mr. Chenshu in 1950s. He pointed out that Daur people were mainly the de-scendants of Qidan, those who had moved north in the late Liao and Yuan dynasties, though with some new infiltration. Mr. Chenshu’s conclusion has been identified both by most of the scholars at home and abroad, and by Daur people. However, much heterodoxy emerges at the turn of the new century. Someone put forward that Daur is the Tocharian in Central Asia, also known as Farghana or Bactrian. The appearance time of Daur nationality is considered either to be in Tang Dynasty, or in Northern Wei Dynasty, or even after Yellow Emperor. These heterodoxies are not tenable for lacking reliable evi-dences.关键词
