Effects of Overground Length of M26 Interstock on Tree Trait and Fruit Quality of Apple Variety ‘Taishan Gala'
摘要
Abstract
Using the combination of Taishan Gala/M26/Malus Robusta as materials,the tree trait and fruit quality of ‘ Taishan Gala' grafted on M26 interstocks with different overground lengths were investigated.The results showed that the tree height and crown diameter were the largest when M26 interstocks were under ground.Interstock overground length had no significant influence on apple trunk girth of scion,but the trunk girth of interstock and shoot growth amount decreased gradually with its increase.The shoot branch number was more when it was 15 ～ 20 cm.The single fruit weight,longitudinal and transverse diameters were significantly higher when the M26 overground length was 10 ～ 15,15 ～ 20 or 20 ～ 25 cm respectively.The soluble solid,soluble sugar and titratable acid content increased generally with the increase of overground length.The fruit shape index and flesh firmness were lower when M26 interstock was 5 ～ 10 cm above ground,and Vc content was lower when it was 15 ～ 20 cm.In conclusion,it was better when ‘ Taishan Gala' was grafted on M26 interstock with 10 ～ 20 cm of overground length.关键词
