Planning and Land Utilization Coordination Within the Urban Plan for Pudong District, Shanghai

Abstract
The concept of“Dual Planning in Unity”can be used to establish general plans for land utilization, integrating the results of urban and rural planning by implementing common land boundaries, index scales, development directions, and aims for ecological protection, among other factors. The concept uses col aborative methods to solve contradictions during the compilation and implementation of combined planning. Pudong District in Shanghai is an example where the methods for land use planning were based on the principles of“Dual Planning in Unity”. Pudong District can therefore be used as a reference for successful land-use planning and implementation in other areas in the future.关键词
