摘要

Abstract

  The generation of nuclear power requires significant discharge of warm water. We used Landsat ETM+images collected on May 28, 2006 and May 4, 2009 to examine water temperature around the Tianwan nuclear power plant. Existing algorithms and the MATLAB software were used to edit the remote sensing images to detect variations in seawater temperature before and after operation of Tianwan nuclear power station began. A single-window algorithm was used for temperature change prediction. The results show that the temperature of the seawater in the area has increased by approximately 3~7° C since operations began at the power plant.
